My first photo shoot for my music magazine:
originally I had decided to use a female as the model for my front cover; however I decided later that a male would be more fitted for the genre of music that I wanted to do. I still want to use a serious face nonetheless as I feel it is appropriate for an R&B/ rap music magazine.

My first Font research:
here I have focused on making my letter 'D' much more bigger than the other letters, also i have tried to make the 'D' stand out from the other letters.

My Font research

Here I have decided to do a plain title design for my front cover as it is more relevant  and sits with my magazine title. I have chosen black because the color links in with the color of my model. For my title I have used a back drop to make the title stand out as the background is not plain which makes a better effect.

I hav decided to change my example photo to lower my models down to possibly to one, two or three. This is more suitable for my magazine as it links with the title of bright futures, showing the student taking participation to the lesson. Unlike these pictures howerver I will be using a open depth of field shot; putting the main model in focus and leaving the other models to be just part of the background or not have them at all. I would be more likely to make my photo like the first picture as it looks more natural and more appropriate also my photo would be more convient if it was shot a slight angle.

Here I have changed the age to secondary as I feel it is a little more convienent.

The reasons why I have chosen media studies
I my opinion i feel media studies is a way to get across to people without having to use verbal communication. There are many ways in fact that a person can get across to another person through the media, for instance magazines, music and adverts are the perfect way. This is really to do because if someone was to put a specific view across without having to actually talk to people, this would be the best way to do it.

I have really chosen media studies because if feel that it is very different from the other subjects and gives a massive insight into the world of media. I also am very intersted in the way that people use media to get others attention for exaple through the use of images etc. I have even wounderd why designers use different techinques in their work such as lighting, different angle shot ect.
